hi, i’m danya.

I’m a born-and-raised East Coaster who never thought she’d leave NYC (my soul city), but I’m living in Los Angeles now and making it home with my husband and our daughter.

My career and life paths have been twisty turny, powered by intuition, courage, curiosity, and a deep confidence that it all makes sense because I’m the common denominator. Connected by threads of connection and creativity, I spent over 15 years building brands, businesses, teams, and communities at companies like Spark Capital, Patreon, Teach For America, and my own spirituality & wellness media company.

Current status (with no end in sight): executive coach and early stage startup advisor.

I’ve been lucky to have the support and guidance of many teachers, guides, and practitioners over the years, but I’m forever grateful - and transformed - by the work I did with my first coach at age 25ish. Along my winding road, she helped me launch and run my own company with a deep sense of purpose and intent, advised me on a negotiation that won me a 60% salary increase in my venture capital gig, and made space for me to make sense of the rocky start to becoming a parent.

When I found myself researching accredited coaching training programs in the summer of 2022, I can’t say I - or anyone who knows me well - was too surprised.

That June, I was wrapping up a healing and re-inspiring family sabbatical in Europe after years of hard-charging professional growth and success, plus a back-to-back slate of personal crises. I was feeling joyful, clear, and ready for my next chapter.

When my original coach suggested I look into New Ventures West’s Integral Coach certification, I did. And I found the structured, spiritual, holistic, practical answer to my question, “What’s next?”

I completed my Integral Coach training and started my private coaching and advising practice in 2023. 6 months later, in a serendipitous move I never saw coming, I joined Evolution, a global coaching and consulting firm, as a Partner and found a professional home amongst some of the most skilled, self aware, impressive, innovative coaches out there. In 2024, I completed a death doula training, because I’m a constant learner and I wanted more tools to support my clients - and myself and my loved ones - through endings (and new beginnings!).

As a coach and advisor, I partner with early stage startup founders who want personal and tactical support as they ramp up or wind down their companies, as well as women executives navigating and reenvisioning work and life as their responsibilities increase in both domains. I’ve been there. I get it.

As a longtime gatherer, I love designing offsites and retreats with a focus on culture development and strategy and planning. I also co-founded VITAL, a nourishing and clarifying program for executive women, with my Evolution Partner and dear friend, Areyla Faeron.

As a creative and curator, I publish The Coaching Zine and a Substack newsletter on an ever-evolving schedule.

I proudly draw on my generalist background to offer all of my clients a potent mix of warmth, ingenuity, and incisiveness.
